Minimalising the Wallet
I suffered for too long with a bulge in my pants. It may look impressive however it is no more than a false impression. Your perception I’m a loaded wealthy man is wrong.
That bulge in my pants is my wallet. Stuffed with things I’m conditioned to carry. Credit cards, cash, stamps, receipts, stamps, business cards and tokens.
I’ve been told repeatedly by my wife how this large wallet makes me look weightier than I am, which I’m sure is code for unattractiveness.
One day I sat down and stripped the wallet of everything contained within it. I noticed that I was carrying a lot of information I no longer needed or could carry electronically reduce weight and bulk.
I then looked at the wallet I was using. With the reduced amount of content, there was a lot of wasted leather waiting for an object to hold. I started to wonder if I could reduce the size further.
A search on Amazon for a “Minimalist Wallet” listed many suggestions. I chose one and started the transition.
As you can see from the photos, making the change has really made a difference to the amount of bulk/weight I’m carrying. The new wallet is small, whilst still being functional enough to carry notes, four credit card size cards and a few business cards.
